Following in Air Training Corps tradition, on Saturday 9th November, many cadets from 2504 (Archbishop Grimshaw) Squadron joined forces with members of the Royal British legion, Chelmsley Wood No1 Branch to help raise awareness and fundraise for the well-known Poppy Appeal. The Cadets from 2504 squadron braved the rainy and cloudy weather and continued to keep raising funds.
After standing in Chelmesley Wood shopping centre throughout the day the cadets managed to help raise funds for a worthy cause.
For many of the cadets this was a first time experience and many were ecstatic with the opinions and compliments of public as the feedback was very positive. The cadets were also very impressed with the donations from the public as such a large amount was not expected. Many thanks to all cadets from 2504 squadron who helped raise money that will hopefully help the Royal British legion to reach their grand national target of £37 million.
