2007 National Concert Band of the Air Training Corps and the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment

Every year, around 50 cadets from every corner of the British Isles are selected to part-take in the National Concert Band of the Air Training Corps. This year was the 12th anniversary and cadets were accompanied though training and the concert with the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment. As always, Air Cadet Music has moved on significantly during the last twelve months. 2006 saw the first international tour of the concert band with cadets from all over the country joining, in what was an unprecedented tour of Cyprus .

The week long music camp consisted of not only hours of rehearsal and sectional practice, but a few cadets got the chance to fly in King Air's and Dominies. On the Thursday, a small section of the concert band performed at the dining in night at the Sergeants mess followed by the Concert Finale on the Friday. The Music Programme included Jurassic Park , Les Miserables, and Irish Rhapsody, to name but a few which demonstrated what can be accomplished in such a short space of time.
