New Commanding Officer for 2286 (Arden) Squadron

2286 (Arden) Squadron in Coventry has recently had a new Commanding Officer.

Flight Lieutenant Chris Quinney joined the Air Training Corps in 1993 at 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron. He moved through the ranks to reach Cadet Warrant Officer.

In 2002 he was Commissioned into the RAFVR (T) and transferred to 2286 (Arden) Squadron, where he has held the post of Adjutant for the last four years.

On top of all this he is a member of the Wing Training Team and a Wing and Regional Rugby selector – a bus man!

The Wing Training & Personnel Officer Squadron Leader Martin Harrison visited the unit recently in order to congratulate Chris and said “I firmly believe the future of the Corps will come from within and it is always a pleasure to see an ex cadet appointed not only to adult uniformed service, but especially to a command post”
